We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Purchaser Supervisor based in Langenhagen, Germany. Langenhagen is within a short commuting distance to Hannover, which is the capital and the largest city of the German state of Lower Saxony. The successful candidate would be a part of a small dynamic team acting as a Supervisor as well. The purpose of the role is to liaise with suppliers both locally and further afield to ensure that they understand the technical restrictions. It is important that the candidate has a Mechanical Engineering background, from a Manufacturing, Industrial and Machining environment to fully appreciate the challenges. We are a technologically advanced company giving you the opportunity to work with new advanced technology and methods in the Oil and Gas industry. Position Specifications:
Purchasing of materials. Assemblies, spare-parts, and services as well as ensuring that deliveries are on time and in line with the parameters Reviewing potential suppliers Negotiating with suppliers and reviewing contracts Evaluating suppliers and maintaining good relationships Competent in reading technical drawings

Adhere to Safety procedure and policies in accordance with safety management system. Including:
Active participation and contribution to specific safety initiatives in meetings. Report all hazardous and unsafe acts. Actively promote positive safety culture
Adhere to Quality procedure and policies in accordance with the Weatherford quality assurance system, Including:
Compliance to work instructions. Raising corrective actions for all non-conformances. identifying areas requiring improvement and / or audit

Key Requirements: Must Have:
Educated to a Minimum of Degree level or Stattlich geprüfter Techniker (Mechanics) or Equivalent Be fluent in German and in English Previous experience in Technical Purchasing Computer literate in MS Applications
Preferred:
Experience in ERP and PPS Systems Supervision of a small team
