Overview The position of Learning Assistant - Psycologist reports to the Principal of the campus. The main objective is to support students learning through the academic, personal and behavioural elements of school life and to work alongside classroom Teachers to achieve high-quality and progressive standards of education. Requirements
University degree in related studies, degree in psychology is a must; 3+ years’ work experience in an international environment; Previous experience working with English speaking children; Fluency in English and Russian is a must; Student-centred approach in teaching and supporting; Experience in working with different age students (in group and individually), dealing with emotional and behavioral individuals or children with different special needs; Open-minded and a life-learner; High sense of responsibility & flexibility; Adaptable and flexible to the requirements of the school and assigned students; There are additional opportunities to take on a responsibility; subject to experience and qualifications
Responsibilities
To deliver bespoke learning support for students, either on a one-to-one basis, or within small group situations; To offer students every opportunity to engage in learning during all lessons and/or activities; To support the teacher in managing students’ conduct by promoting positive behavior; To collaborate with teachers and assist in the planning and resourcing of lessons for special needs children; To actively implement special needs learning methodologies within the classroom; To evaluate and record student progress; To foster learning, address school-related problems and promote a safe educational environment for special needs children; To evaluate a student's special needs and accommodate them accordingly; To carry out administrative tasks; To participate in school activities & events; To supervise students during rest breaks and at determined periods before/after school; To actively attend and participate in all staff meetings and in school coaching
